Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our own servers do not keep a copy of the search text. If you send a message, the mailbox receives the content you choose to include and uses it to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Hosting systems create routine logs such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. Those logs may be reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and understand broad page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How the Information Is Used
The purposes are ordinary operation, fault repair, traffic measurement, and page improvement. Windsor Residents Directory does not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles from this limited data.
External Links
Pages point to county and state record portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy policy and controls what happens to information submitted there. The third-party provider behind sponsored results is especially separate from this policy.
Who May Receive It
Hosting and support vendors process server logs to keep the service running. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure also occurs when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, information is not shared for a separate purpose.
Security Measures
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles stored by this service to expose.
Children and Minors
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information, contact the service and the received material will be deleted.
Your California Privacy Choices
California Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, provides rights to know or access, correct, delete subject to exceptions, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and receive equal service. Civil Code §§1798.99.80 et seq. also covers the Delete Act and data-broker registry framework. Because this service keeps very little, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and available logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Government records held by California, Sonoma County, or Windsor offices are not controlled by this service. A request to remove or correct a public record must go to the custodian. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000 et seq., governs access to existing public records, not deletion from an official roll.
Policy Changes
